The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vega shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Vega showed some decent athleticism there.
Bowman regains full guard. Nicely done.
Vega trying to control but Bowman is working from the bottom.
Bowman is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Bowman throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Bowman has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Vega doesn't defend quickly enough and Bowman has managed to lock this one up! Can Vega escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Bowman on a fantastic submission victory.
