Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jose Morales!
The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morales waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Moore.
Moore uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Morales.
Moore feinted with a counter takedown.
Moore throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Moore misses with a looping left.
Moore swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Moore shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Morales sprawls well. Morales wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Moore gets slowly back to his feet.
Moore slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Morales punishes Moore's body with a nice straight punch.
Morales ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Morales misses the jab.
Morales avoids the body shot from Moore.

Morales misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Moore.
Morales looks to throw the jab but Moore is out of range.
Moore scores with a jab. Morales acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Morales scores with a decent looking hook.


It looks like Carl Moore has been cut.
Morales throws a jab but it's blocked by Moore.
Moore closes the distance and clinches up with Morales, looking for a takedown. Moore pushes Morales against the cage but Morales circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Moore misses with a straight left.
We've been informed that Morales has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Jose Morales seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Morales digs a good hook to Moore's body.
Moore has his takedown stuffed
and Morales counters with a right hand to the body.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carl Moore. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Moore is breathing heavily.
Morales ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
The fighters circling - Morales throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Morales sends Moore crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Morales is motioning to the referee to let Moore up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Morales is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Moore flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Moore is out cold! Morales holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!

During a confident post fight interview, Jose Morales thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
