Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 wins, 0 losses and 0 draws, fighting out of London, Shaka Dee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 wins, 1 losses and 0 draws, fighting out of London, Chris Jones!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Colin Fotheringham and James Atkins.



The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones tries to clinch but Dee is having none of it.
Dee stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Dee wants it to stay on the feet.
Jones moves out of range as Dee strikes.
Jones is looking for the big counter here.
Nice takedown defense from Jones. No joy for Dee on that attempt.
It seemed like Jones was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Dee shoots in and drives through. Jones sprawls well.
Jones lands a nice shot to the body.
Jones changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dee tries to avoid it but Jones manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dee to the ground. Dee escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
We've been hearing reports that Dee has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Dee seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Jones should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Jones is doing well to control the position and prevent Dee from advancing to side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Dee wants to take a breather but Jones is having none of it.
Dee tries to pass to full mount but Jones defends it.
Jones wants to improve his position but Dee is controlling well.

Dee is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Still in half guard, Dee seems content to control.
Dee frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Dee wants to take his opponent's back but Jones doesn't allow it.

Jones is working to get back to half guard.
Dee raining down hammerfists from mount.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Dee cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Dee fails to take his opponent's back.
Dee landing strikes from the mount and Jones is in trouble!

Dee has hold of Jones's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Jones manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Jones tries to reverse the position but Dee maintains control.
The referee warns Jones that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Jones is trying to stand up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jones wants to hold on but Dee pushes him away.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Dee controlling from mount.
Jones is squirming around, avoiding Dee's attempts to control the action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Shaka Dee dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Dee shoots in and bounces Jones off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Dee has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Dee trying to control the position from guard on top but Jones is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Dee tries to free his leg and advance position but Jones is retaining full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jones not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Dee not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Dee stands up and waves to Jones to follow him.

Jones throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Dee.
Jones stuffs the takedown attempt from Dee. Dee gets slowly back to his feet.
Dee looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Dee is trying hard to land a takedown here. Jones sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Jones instigates a clinch.
Jones goes for a takedown attempt but Dee pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Jones tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Dee swivels and escapes.
Dee half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Jones keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Dee fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jones, pushing him back against the cage.
Dee is trying to pull guard but Jones has him pressed against the cage.
Jones tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Dee avoids it.
Dee misses with a knee to the head.
Dee keeps control of Jones as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Dee is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Jones is defending well for now.

Dee has hold of one of Jones's legs. Jones is fighting the takedown attempt but Dee gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Jones holds on and takes a little breather.
Jones is trying to control the position but Dee postures up.

Dee prevents Jones from getting back to his feet.
Jones doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Jones lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Jones wants to control from the top but Dee keeps moving.
Shaka Dee overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Dee is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Dee manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Jones's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Dee fails in his attempt to clinch.
Jones fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Dee clinches with his opponent.
Dee is trying to pull guard but Jones has him pressed against the cage.
Dee stalling the fight.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Dee is trying to break the clinch but Jones is controlling him.

Dee manages to break the clinch.

Dee moves into the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Jones stuffs the takedown.
Jones tries to close the distance and clinch but Dee swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Dee keeps the fight on the outside.
Dee misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Jones changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Jones is looking to clinch but Dee is avoiding it.

Jones is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Dee to keep the fight standing.

Dee is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Jones is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

and Jones connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Dee is defended easily by Jones.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shaka Dee. That's going to take a lot out of him.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Jones closes the distance and pushes Dee back into the cage.
Jones goes for a takedown in the clinch but Dee prevents it.
Jones tries to pull guard but Dee holds him up against the cage and eventually Jones drops back down to his feet.
Jones lands with a short shot to the head.
Dee stalling against the cage.
Dee tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Nice body punch from Jones - that landed with a thud.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Jones lands an elbow inside that Dee shrugs off.

Jones jumps guard.
Dee advances position into side control!
Jones is not content to let Dee control the position.
Dee content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Dee creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Dee trying to control the action but Jones is working from the bottom.
Jones is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Dee off and has taken his back!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Jones looking to break Dee's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Dee remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Jones will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
Dee is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

Chris Jones comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Dee has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
