Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Arthur Halo (ranked 125 p4p, 21 weight class) and The Sigit (ranked 159 p4p, 28 weight class). Sigit has chosen Gie as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Arthur Halo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 35 - 21 - 2, fighting out of New York, The Sigit!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Russell Pearce and Lou da Vinci.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sigit tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Sigit shoots for a takedown but Halo saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Halo had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Sigit defends it easily.
Halo looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sigit is one step ahead there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sigit stands up over Halo, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Sigit is in close to Halo's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Halo has his foot on Sigit's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sigit works his way back into a safe position though.

Halo will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Sigit is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Halo pulls his head out easily.

Halo wants to work for an arm triangle but Sigit is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Halo in particular looking to stall.

Sigit throws his legs up looking for a submission but Halo uses it to pass to side control.

Halo prevents Sigit from getting the reversal.
Halo takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Halo can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Sigit is looking to escape.

Halo looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Halo is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Sigit defends it well.

That was a close round but I would say that Arthur Halo will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Sigit fails to land the takedown.
Halo tries to land a leg kick but Sigit saw it coming and moves away.

Halo feints and then cracks Sigit's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Sigit down.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sigit cracks Halo with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Halo is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Damage Inc., so we'll see if he gets out of it.

The referee warns Halo that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Sigit has control of Halo's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Halo regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Halo tries to hold on but Sigit pushes him away.
Sigit connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Sigit is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Halo can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
