The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James slips under a jab.
Norris stuffs the takedown.

James changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Norris tries to avoid it but James manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Norris to the ground. Norris escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

James throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Norris's waist but Norris gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing James off to one side.

James shoots in looking for a takedown. Norris tries to sprawl out of it but James keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Norris manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Norris can do anything to dispel that myth.

James gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

James shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than James was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

James is working to tighten his grip on Norris's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Norris has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but James is really squeezing tight and eventually Norris passes out! James breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Rick James bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
