The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Johns. Macrae does a little dance to reset his feet.

Macrae clinches up with Johns and pushes him back against the cage.
Johns blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Macrae breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Johns throws a head kick that misses.
Macrae is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Tyler Macrae seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Johns shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Macrae moves into the clinch.
Johns is working for takedown but Macrae is calmly controlling the position for now.

Macrae blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Macrae throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Johns throws a right hand that Macrae ducks under and follows up with a left that Macrae also avoids with ease.
Macrae's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Macrae duly obliges.

A quick step to the side and Johns tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

Tyler Macrae is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Johns fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

As Macrae looks to move away, Johns throws a big counter combo but Macrae just gets out of the way.

Johns closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Johns has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Macrae doesn't defend quickly enough and Johns has managed to lock this one up! Can Macrae escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Johns on a fantastic submission victory.
