Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are James Glass, James Atkins and Paul Tew.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bullock closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Mercer's guard.
Mercer utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Mercer holds on and takes a little breather.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mercer wants to sweep here but Bullock controlling him for the moment.

Bullock stands and steps away. Mercer gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Mercer tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bullock swats him away and circles back towards the center.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Mercer enables Bullock to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Mercer manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Mercer wants to get back to his feet but Bullock passes into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mercer could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Bullock is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Mercer defends it well.

Mercer is trying to control but can't.
Mercer tries to get to full guard but Bullock has control of the leg.
Bullock wants to stand but Mercer has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
More stalling from Bullock.
Mercer has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bullock is working away from the top position though.
Mercer tries to kick Bullock off but Bullock keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Mercer wants to control but Bullock is keeping busy.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Mercer won't allow Bullock to pass to mount.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Bullock shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Bullock showed some decent athleticism there.

Bullock is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Mercer is just riding it out for now. Bullock eventually gives up the hold.

Bullock wants to pass to mount but Mercer is defending the position.
Mercer is looking to escape.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Bullock forces Mercer back against the cage and clinches.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lance Bullock dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Mercer gets caught flat footed, as Bullock shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Bullock gets to his feet. Mercer looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

enabling Bullock to counter with a crisp jab.
Bullock throws a push kick but Mercer slaps the foot to one side.
Mercer seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Bullock misses with a head kick.

Bullock instigates a clinch.
Bullock wants to get back to striking at distance but Mercer won't allow it.
Mercer lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Bullock pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Mercer misses with a body punch.
Bullock is trying to force a seperation but Mercer has the dominant position.

Bullock manages to pull guard.
Mercer wants to control from the top but Bullock keeps moving.

Bullock pushes Mercer off and gets back to his feet.

Bullock clinches.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Bullock tightens his grip and picks Mercer up, before dumping him to the ground. Mercer manages to land in guard.

Bullock gets to his feet - Mercer follows without any prompting.
Bullock tries a head kick but it misses.
Mercer thinks about countering with a body kick.

Bullock drops Mercer with a beautiful combination! Mercer stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Bullock is looking for the KO!

Mercer is rocked!

It looks like Bennett Mercer has been cut.

Bullock closes the distance looking for a takedown. Mercer stuffs it but Bullock still has hold of him. Bullock picks Mercer up in a fireman's lift! The crowd roars in approval. Bullock slams Mercer to the floor and that's really hurt Mercer - he doesn't know where he is! Bullock throws a couple of strikes and the referee steps in to save him! This one is in the books!
