Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jean Ponce (ranked 5050 p4p, 603 weight class) and Glady Shinker (ranked 5241 p4p, 619 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shinker throws a head kick that misses.
Shinker is looking to slow Ponce down with leg kicks.
Shinker's coach down at School of Hard Knocks (12 Elite/$970) was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Shinker's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Shinker throws a right and a left that Ponce avoids nicely.
Ponce fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Shinker throws a wild body kick that Ponce sees coming a mile off.
Shinker misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
No luck for Ponce with that takedown attempt.
Ponce avoids a low kick by using good footwork.

Shinker throws a hook but Ponce blocks it.

Ponce has closed the distance and engaged Shinker in a clinch.
Shinker is trying to break the clinch but Ponce has him pressed against the cage.

Ponce manages to break the clinch.
Glady Shinker is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Shinker jabs Ponce right on the nose. Ponce blinks but takes it well.
Ponce looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Shinker looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.

Ponce lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Ponce.
A combination from Shinker does no damage.
Ponce thinks about countering with a body kick.

Shinker digs a good body shot into Ponce's ribs.

A little feinted left hand from Ponce on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Ponce staying out of range there.
Shinker throws a half hearted mid kick.
Shinker throws a head kick that half lands.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Ponce checks a leg kick.

Ponce pushes Shinker up against the cage in a clinch.

Ponce breaks the clinch.
Shinker chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Ponce slips a jab and a cross from Shinker.
Ponce moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Ponce closes the distance and clinches up with Shinker, looking for a takedown. Ponce pushes Shinker against the cage but Shinker circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Shinker has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Ponce finds it's way round the side to connect with Shinker's head.
Ponce throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Shinker on the side of the head.
Shinker throws a right and a left that Ponce avoids nicely.
Ponce shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Shinker sprawls well. Shinker wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ponce gets slowly back to his feet.
Shinker is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Ponce misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Shinker with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Ponce to score with a decent uppercut.
Shinker cracks Ponce with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Shinker slaps away a takedown attempt from Ponce, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Ponce gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Ponce tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Shinker is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Ponce buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Ponce!! Ponce is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Shinker throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
