Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Akira Harada (ranked 2524 p4p, 278 weight class) and Putem The Nightmare (ranked 2636 p4p, 292 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Akira Harada!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Putem The Nightmare!
The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, Donatello Bradman and Eliza Hachem.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harada slaps away a takedown attempt from The Nightmare, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Harada fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
The Nightmare shoots for a takedown but Harada saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
The Nightmare looks winded!
A jab lands there for Harada.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
The Nightmare tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Akira Harada has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Putem The Nightmare.

The Nightmare has Harada pressed against the cage, preventing Harada from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Harada wants to break free but The Nightmare has control.

The Nightmare is trying to pull guard but Harada turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Harada wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but The Nightmare has him pressed against the cage.

Harada's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Harada throws a good cross that connects.

The Nightmare is rocked!
Harada goes for a small jab and connects. Now Harada goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! The Nightmare stumbles back but Harada runs in with a huge uppercut knocking The Nightmare to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if The Nightmare will ever be the same after a knockout like that.
