And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Willibrord Koekelberg!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Wagner Zegers and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Branch closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Koekelberg blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Branch.

Branch successfully pulls guard.
Branch is controlling Koekelberg's posture.
Branch keeping moving, preventing Koekelberg from controlling successfully.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Branch is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.


That's one minute gone in the round.
Koekelberg wants to get back to full guard.

Branch postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Koekelberg to stand up.

Koekelberg fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Branch, pushing him back against the cage.
Branch is trying to stall.
Branch wants to break free but Koekelberg has control.

Koekelberg jumps guard and drags Branch to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Branch gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Branch has managed to clinch.

Koekelberg has picked Branch up - he's going for a ride! Koekelberg dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Koekelberg looks winded!
Branch is concentrating on defense, preventing Koekelberg from advancing position.
Branch's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Koekelberg looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Branch is doing well to control the position and prevent Koekelberg from advancing to side control.
Branch wants to control but Koekelberg is keeping busy.
Branch moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Branch working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Koekelberg doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Branch is tightening it up a little... Koekelberg has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Koekelberg reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Koekelberg taps out! Nice BJJ there by Branch!
