The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laperierre tries a low kick but Wine avoids it.
Wine shoots in for a takedown but Laperierre shows good takedown defense.

and Laperierre connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Laperierre scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Ian Laperierre seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Laperierre takes a swing at Wine's ribcage but misses.
Wine is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Laperierre with a body shot.
Laperierre swings for the body but Wine moves out of range.
Laperierre stuns Wine with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Laperierre throws a leg kick but Wine sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Wine tries to counter by closing the distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Laperierre sends Wine crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Laperierre is motioning to the referee to let Wine up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

It looks like Timothy Wine has been cut.
Wine is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Laperierre doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Wine crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Wine's bad books for that mishap!
