Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Abidemi Afolayan (ranked 2700 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sandoe Mi (ranked 25066 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mi tries to clinch
and Afolayan counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Mi tries to clinch there but Afolayan circles away.
Mi misses with the combination.

and Afolayan counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Afolayan lands a nice hook to Mi's body. Mi takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Mi wants to clinch.
Afolayan was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A punch lands to the side of Mi 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Mi thows a leg kick but Afolayan checks it
and Afolayan counters with a straight right hand.
Mi tries to clinch up.
Afolayan seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

A jab from Afolayan finds it's way through Mi's defenses.

It looks like Sandoe Mi has been cut.
Mi throws a left and a right that both miss
and Afolayan counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Sandoe Mi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Afolayan scores with a jab to the head.

Mi darts in trying to clinch
and Afolayan connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Afolayan keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Mi's efforts to push away.

Afolayan breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Afolayan darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

and Afolayan counters with a nice body kick.
Mi looks winded!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Afolayan circles away from the clinch attempt.
Afolayan wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Afolayan clobbers Mi with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Mi throws a left and a right that both miss
and Afolayan counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Afolayan throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Mi was covering up waiting for the punch and Afolayan finishes the takedown easily into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Afolayan lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Afolayan postures up, still in guard. A huge hammer fist lands that bounces Mi's head off the mat! Mi is out! He's out! Afolayan jumps to his feet and celebrates with his corner!
