Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joseph Brown (ranked 6240 p4p, 204 weight class) and Lanny Langley (ranked 23261 p4p, 262 weight class). The key to victory for Joseph Brown has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Joseph Brown!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Lanny Langley!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Andrew Berry and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Langley shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Langley showed some decent athleticism there.
Brown is looking to get back to is feet but Langley passes into side control.
Brown wants to get back to his feet but Langley drags him back down.
Brown takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Langley wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Brown, who protects the arm well.

Langley tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Langley in side control, just content to control the action for now.

Langley remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Let's hope that Langley has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Langley takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Brown has been working on his balance at Chin Check Academy, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Langley.

Langley closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Brown to the mat! Brown manages to get full guard.
Langley wants to stand but Brown has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Langley manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Brown stands up from Langley's guard - Brown perhaps looking for a knockout.
Sloppy strikes from Brown. Those never looked like landing.
Langley shoots for a takedown but Brown saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Brown tries to clinch there but Langley circles away.
Langley has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Langley shoots in but no luck this time.
Langley throws a right and a left that Brown avoids nicely.
Brown goes for a double leg but Langley avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Langley continues to drive forward.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Langley manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Langley throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Brown was covering up waiting for the punch and Langley finishes the takedown easily into guard.

It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over.

We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Langley.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Langley feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Langley steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Brown.

Langley shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Brown sprawls well. Brown wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Langley gets slowly back to his feet.
Brown throws a big counter combination but Langley scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Langley shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Brown as he avoids it easily.
Joseph Brown has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lanny Langley.
Brown wants to clinch but Langley slips to the side
and Langley counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
The fight stays on the outside here - Langley looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Brown uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Langley has time to react.

And that's the end of the fight!
Lanny Langley comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Langley has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
