Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harryson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
As Harryson looks to move away, Romero throws a big counter combo but Harryson just gets out of the way.
Romero throws the kick towards the body but Harryson avoids it.
Harryson throws a right and a left that Romero avoids nicely.
Romero is looking for a counter combo.
Harryson throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Romero counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Harryson throws a sloppy head kick and Romero moves out of range easily.
Romero seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Harryson throws a head kick that misses.
As Harryson looks to move away, Romero throws a big counter combo but Harryson just gets out of the way.
No joy there for Harryson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Harryson scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Romero doesn't seem bothered though.
Harryson looks to land a body kick but Romero moved away.
Harryson throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Romero stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Henry Harryson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Romero holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Romero manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Harryson wants to stand but Romero has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Romero will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Harryson stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Romero avoids a punch combination nicely.
Harryson throws a nice looking combination but Romero bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Henry Harryson dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Harryson.
Harryson lands a nice looking body kick.
Romero doesn't manage to clinch there - Harryson circles away.
Harryson has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Harryson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Romero manages to avoid it.
Harryson throws a head kick but Romero moves out of range.
Harryson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Romero moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Romero moves into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Harryson wants to break the clinch but can't.
Harryson has had enough of the clinch but Romero keeps him there for the moment.

Harryson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Harryson lands a left and a right that send Romero crashing to the mat, dazed. Harryson thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


It looks like Amos Romero has been cut.
Harryson throws a shot from downtown. Romero moves away and avoids it.
Romero lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Harryson throws a head kick but Romero moves out of range.
Romero is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Harryson.
Harryson looks to land a right hand but Romero moved out of range.
Romero displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Harryson throws out the jab.
Romero tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Harryson explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Harryson in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Romero doesn't manage to clinch there - Harryson circles away.
Look low, kick high! Harryson uses the oldest trick in the book to send Romero tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Harryson is absolutely delighted - when Romero wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!
