Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Sanna (ranked 786 p4p, 125 weight class) and Ramon Diaz (ranked 3568 p4p, 478 weight class). Ramon Diaz told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Michael Sanna!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ramon Diaz!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Paulo Santos and Edson Gomes.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz closes this distance looking for a takedown but Sanna circles away.
Sanna connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Sanna seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Sanna checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

Sanna lands a left and a right that send Diaz crashing to the mat, dazed. Sanna thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Diaz is rocked!

It looks like Ramon Diaz has been cut.
Sanna thows a body kick. Diaz tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Diaz is still on wobbly legs! Can Sanna finish him?
Diaz closes the distance and clinches up with Sanna, looking for a takedown. Diaz pushes Sanna against the cage but Sanna circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Michael Sanna seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Good leg kick by Sanna there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Diaz seems to have recovered his senses.
Sanna drops Diaz with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Diaz! Sanna dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
