Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Tua (ranked 266 p4p, 11 weight class) and Bubba Gumption (ranked 110 p4p, 4 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tua lands a high kick!

It looks like Bubba Gumption has been cut.
Gumption ducks under a wild hook from Tua .
Gumption misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Tua .
Gumption misses with an attempted mid kick.
Tua slips under a jab from Gumption.
Tua keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Gumption.
A nice leg kick lands there from Tua .
A decent looking cross lands there for Tua .
Gumption connects with a single shot there.
Gumption moves out of range of the body kick.
Gumption throws a body shot but no joy.
Gumption throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Tua throws a quick counter head kick but Gumption was just out of range.
David Tua seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A slapping leg kick lands for Tua .

Gumption throws an overhand right that lands on Tua 's shoulder, as Tua tries to avoid the shot.
Tua throwing a counter right hand but Gumption manages to avoid it.
Gumption waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Tua .

Tua misses with a body kick.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Gumption.
Tua tries to close the distance and clinch but Gumption swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Gumption swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Tua looks to land a body kick but Gumption moved away.
Gumption avoids the body shot from Tua .
It seemed like Gumption was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Tua takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Tua is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Gumption.
Tua misses with a head kick.
The fight stays on the outside here - Tua looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Gumption swings for the body but Tua moves out of range.
Tua takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Tua keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Gumption drops Tua with a beautiful combination! Tua stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Gumption is looking for the KO!

It looks like David Tua has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gumption lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Tua up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Gumption from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Tua 's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
