Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yuri Boyka (ranked 324 p4p, 47 weight class) and Jack Shaw (ranked 319 p4p, 45 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Boyka might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Three 6 Mafia - Its A Fight lyrics . Shaw is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Family Force 5 - Chainsaw. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Boyka moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Boyka throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Shaw sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Shaw ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Shaw no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

It looked like Boyka wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Boyka has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

Boyka pounces like a tiger and cracks Shaw with a vicious hook! Shaw is down but not out! Boyka follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!

Yuri Boyka decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
