The Viking comes to the cage accompanied by Vikings Hunt-by VENOM. Hellas Pankratios has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Ivar The Viking's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Viking with a lazy takedown attempt
and Pankratios counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
The Viking darts in looking for a takedown but Pankratios gets double underhooks and turns The Viking into the cage.
Pankratios misses with a two punch combination.

and The Viking counters with a takedown into side control.
Pankratios wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The Viking is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Pankratios is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Pankratios defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from The Viking.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The Viking stops Pankratios from getting back to his feet.
Pankratios tries to roll over but The Viking keeps him under control.

The Viking looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Pankratios felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Pankratios tries to kick The Viking off but The Viking keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with The Viking in particular looking to stall.

The Viking is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Pankratios sees it coming and defends easily.

The Viking is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The Viking wants to pass to mount but Pankratios is defending the position.
Pankratios is looking to escape.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

The Viking gets the takedown into side control.
Pankratios is pushing The Viking's head away, looking to escape. The Viking manages to hold on to the position though.

The Viking swings around for an armbar but Pankratios sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into The Viking's guard.

Pankratios gets to his feet. The Viking looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Pankratios is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in The Viking's half guard.
The Viking wants to sweep but Pankratios has passed to side control!
The Viking tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Pankratios wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Pankratios has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Pankratios gets in close and tags The Viking with a short punch that almost sends The Viking to the mat! Oh The Viking is in big trouble! He turns his back on Pankratios, trying to create some distance but Pankratios rushes him, striking wildly and The Viking goes down! The referee tackles Pankratios into the cage to end the fight! Pankratios is one violent man!
