Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ali Bagov (ranked 3341 p4p, 461 weight class) and Alexandre Ribeiro (ranked 2378 p4p, 339 weight class). Ribeiro has chosen Bullet the Blue Sky as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alexandre Ribeiro!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bagov drives through with a takedown into guard.

Bagov has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Ribeiro working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bagov doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bagov manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Bagov looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Ribeiro with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Bagov lands a nice short elbow.

Ribeiro is looking for a sweep. Bagov is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Bagov is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Ribeiro locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Bagov is forced to tap!

Alexandre Ribeiro spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
