Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Hiram Petersen (ranked 24726 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Connollyy (ranked 5897 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hiram Petersen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kevin Connollyy !
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Eddie Farnsworth and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Connollyy drives through with a takedown into Petersen's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Petersen scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Connollyy is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Petersen is fighting to break Connollyy 's control of his arms but Connollyy is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Connollyy working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Petersen doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Petersen manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Petersen postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Connollyy has control of Petersen's left arm, preventing Petersen from doing any damage.

Petersen wants to control from the top but Connollyy keeps moving.

Connollyy utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Petersen slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Connollyy has hold of one of Petersen's legs. Petersen is fighting the takedown attempt but Connollyy gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

You can see the frustration on Petersen's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

I really don't envy Connollyy right now.
Hiram Petersen overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Petersen gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Connollyy to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Petersen really wants to buck Connollyy off and get back to his feet.

Kevin Connollyy comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Connollyy has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
