Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dennis Boyd!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Boxer Bully!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shirou Masuda and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boyd changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bully tries to avoid it but Boyd manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bully to the ground. Bully escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Bully has taken the fight to the clinch.
Boyd is looking to break free of the clinch but Bully has double underhooks.
Boyd really is a fat lump.
Boyd looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Boyd is trying to break free.
Boyd tries to break the clinch but Bully is controlling the position.
Bully blocks the elbow strike.
Boyd escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Boyd shoots in but Bully avoids the takedown attempt easily.
No luck for Bully with that takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Boyd gets a double leg takedown into Bully's guard.
Bully wants to get back to his feet but Boyd is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Boyd stands up and waves to Bully to follow him.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Boyd pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Boyd is trying hard to land a takedown here. Bully sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dennis Boyd. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bully has taken the fight to the clinch.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Bully creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
It looks like Dennis Boyd has been cut.
Bully breaks the clinch.
Bully cracks Boyd with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Boyd looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Bully finish him?
Boyd is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Bully closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Boyd out cold! Boyd corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.
