Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 7 - 2, fighting out of Helsinki, Gerardo Pacheco!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chosu McGrady!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Robert Twigg and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGrady comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

McGrady gets a takedown into half guard.

McGrady is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Pacheco has managed to free his arm - good work.

Pacheco is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but McGrady pulls his head out easily.

McGrady looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
McGrady missing with the ground and pound from half guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pacheco is looking to improve his position.
Pacheco trying to control but McGrady postures up.
McGrady throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Pacheco to regain full guard.
McGrady chips away with some ground and pound.
McGrady wants to get up but he can't break Pacheco's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
McGrady postures up in Pacheco's guard and throws a big left but Pacheco blocks it.
McGrady in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
McGrady throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
McGrady wants to control from the top but Pacheco keeps moving.
McGrady chips away with some ground and pound.
McGrady trying to control but Pacheco is working from the bottom.

Pacheco has an active guard here but McGrady has managed to pass into half guard.

McGrady slips a nice elbow through Pacheco's hands, connecting with Pacheco's forehead.
Pacheco wants to control but McGrady is keeping busy.
McGrady lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Pacheco wants to get back to full guard.
McGrady is thwarting Pacheco's attempts to control the position.
McGrady trying to control the action but Pacheco is working from the bottom.
McGrady is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

McGrady is nestled in close to Pacheco, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
McGrady not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Pacheco is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but McGrady pulls his head out easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pacheco is looking to control McGrady's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Pacheco avoid being mounted?

McGrady seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Pacheco does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
McGrady with the ground and pound but Pacheco uses the opportunity to regain guard.

Pacheco has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think McGrady should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Pacheco has tightened it up now! McGrady should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
