The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grip is trying hard to land a takedown here. Foley sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Grip takes one to the chin there.
Grip misses with a two punch combination.
Grip attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.

and Foley counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Foley ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Grip throws a lazy right hand but Foley sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Foley throws out a loose jab but Grip uses good head movement to avoid it.

and Foley makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Axel Foley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Medusa Grip.

Medusa Grip seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Foley looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Grip drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Grip tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Grip has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Foley is trying to control Grip's posture but Grip avoids it.
Grip tries to score with some ground and pound. Foley controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Grip has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at ELITE Island Gym - 19 Elite Coaches. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
Grip wants to lay and pray for a moment but Foley keeps working.

Grip has hold of Foley's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Foley tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Grip cranks the arm and Foley screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Foley, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
