The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Carioca changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Beats looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Beats can't do much from the bottom here.
Beats is looking to regain half guard here but Carioca keeps moving and retains side control.
Carioca wants to control but Beats is keeping him busy.

Carioca looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Beats is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Carioca's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Beats is trying to stand up here but Carioca is controlling him well.
