Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mark Winter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Fransisco Gonzalez!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Michael Johnstone and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Winter feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Gonzalez bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Winter's guard.

Gonzalez is looking to work some ground and pound but Winter has wrist control.

Gonzalez drops back, looking for a kneebar! Winter looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Winter looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Winter!

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Winter defends a prolonged rear naked choke attempt and turns nicely into his opponent's guard.

Winter slaps away a takedown attempt from Gonzalez, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Winter drops down looking for a counter takedown but Gonzalez sprawls and moves away.

Gonzalez shoots in for a takedown but Winter shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
