Nice body punch from Benton.
Benton stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
It looks like Jab Buckeye has been cut.
Buckeye fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Benton sprawls well initially but Buckeye persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Benton kicks off Buckeye and gets to his feet.
Buckeye tries for a takedown but Benton sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Buckeye looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Benton is fending him off so far but Buckeye persists. Nope, Benton circles away and we're back to standing.
It seemed like Benton was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Benton fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Buckeye shoots in looking for a takedown. Benton tries to sprawl out of it but Buckeye keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Benton manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jab Buckeye. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Buckeye takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Buckeye is breathing heavily.
Buckeye takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Benton lands with a hook. Buckeye tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Benton connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Buckeye to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Benton!
