Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Isaac Abraham!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ed Wood!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Dean Styles and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abraham uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Wood.
Abraham lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Abraham.


It looks like Ed Wood has been cut.

Wood has Abraham up against the cage in a clinch.
Wood tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Wood blocking some punches.
Abraham lands a shoulder strike.
Wood has a couple of punches blocked by Abraham.
Abraham lands with a short shot to the head.
Wood scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Abraham misses with some punches.
Abraham throws a punch but it's blocked by Wood.

Wood breaks the clinch.
Abraham moves in looking to clinch but Wood pushes him off.
James Isaac Abraham seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Abraham catches Wood with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Abraham ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Abraham misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Wood.

Abraham tries to clinch up.
Abraham wants to clinch up but Wood keeps it at a distance.
Wood drops his hands momentarily and Abraham takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Wood has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.

Abraham rushes Wood and presses him up against the cage.

Wood's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Wood takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Abraham lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Abraham misses with a double jab.
Wood walks into a left hand.
Abraham lands with a hook. Wood tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Wood swings away with a body shot that misses
and Abraham counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Wood swings for the body but Abraham moves out of range.
Wood takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Wood throws out a powerful jab.
Abraham dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Wood takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Abraham thuds a left hand into Wood's body.
Wood takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Wood misses with a left hand

and Abraham counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Abraham.
I was talking to Abraham's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Wood.
Abraham scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Abraham has a couple of punches blocked by Wood.
Abraham trying to control the position but instead, Wood has worked for underhooks and has pushed Abraham into the cage.
Abraham lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Wood blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Abraham is leaning against Wood and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Wood lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Abraham or not.
Abraham goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Abraham misses with a short punch on the inside.

Wood scores with a nice hook to the head.
Abraham lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Wood backwards.
Wood misses with the head strike.
Abraham has a couple of punches blocked by Wood.

Wood struggles to land a body shot inside as Abraham controls his hands.
Abraham tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Abraham.
Wood throws a punch but it's blocked by Abraham.
Abraham throws a head punch that misses.
Abraham throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Woods head.
Abraham lands a hook that snaps the head of Wood backwards.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Abraham misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Wood makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Abraham tries to work over Wood's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Abraham is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Abraham misses with the head strike.
Abraham lands a shoulder strike.
Wood wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Abraham has him pressed against the cage.
Wood throws a head punch that misses.
Abraham swings wildly with an uppercut but Wood uses good head movement to avoid it.
Abraham trying to stall but Wood improves his position.
Wood working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Wood lands an uppercut.
Abraham lands with a left to the head.
Abraham blocks an uppercut.

A right hook to the body lands for Wood.
Abraham takes a shot to the head.
Still in the clinch, Wood scores with a nice short uppercut.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Abraham is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Abraham can't seem to implement his control oriented gameplan at the moment. That's no bad thing of course, for those of us who want to see a good fight.
Abraham is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
A short right from Wood.


Abraham is rocked!
Wood throws a big uppercut that drops Abraham! More strikes from Wood and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Abraham lies dazed against the cage as Wood celebrates with his cornermen!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 5:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ed Wood!
During a confident post fight interview, Ed Wood thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
