Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hades Anderson (ranked 2604 p4p, 0 weight class) and Very Rounded (ranked 4827 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Very Rounded enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hades Anderson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Very Rounded!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Hirohito Nitta and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice defenses there by Rounded.
Rounded throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
We've been informed that Rounded has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Rounded walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Some wild striking there from Anderson.
Anderson lands a jab to Rounded's midsection.
Rounded swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Rounded lands with a straight right. Anderson didn't see that one coming.
Rounded throws a head kick that half lands.


It looks like Hades Anderson has been cut.
A jab from Anderson finds it's way through Rounded's defenses.

Rounded drops Anderson with a left and a right! Oh, Anderson is hurt - Rounded dives into side control looking to finish!


Anderson is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Anderson is not content to let Rounded control the position.
Oh Anderson is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Rounded tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Rounded has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Anderson seems to have got his legs back now.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rounded tries to advance position but instead Anderson slips a leg back in to half guard.
Anderson moves into full guard.
Rounded passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Rounded trying to control the action but Anderson is working from the bottom.

Rounded tries for a kimura but Anderson is defending well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Rounded wants to control but Anderson is keeping him busy.
Rounded works to advance to full mount. Anderson defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Rounded goes for an armbar but Anderson turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Anderson.
Rounded is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Anderson lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Anderson content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Anderson is stalling in the full guard.
Anderson with a flurry of punches that miss.
Rounded has momentary wrist control but Anderson slips an elbow through the middle.
Anderson working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Anderson keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Rounded's head.
Rounded is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Anderson is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Anderson trying to control the position from guard on top but Rounded is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Rounded being controlled here, momentarily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rounded looking to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rounded is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Anderson is aware though and is defending well.
Anderson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Anderson is in close to Rounded's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Rounded wants to stand and escape but Anderson is having none of it.

Anderson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Rounded has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Anderson has managed to get both his arms back between Rounded's legs - danger averted.
Anderson pushing down on Rounded's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Anderson looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Rounded with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Very Rounded will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Hades Anderson's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Rounded fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Rounded tries to close the distance and clinch up but Anderson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Rounded lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Anderson circles away quickly and effectively.
Rounded tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Anderson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Anderson tries to bum rush Rounded with a series of wild strikes but Rounded uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Rounded misses with a few strikes there.
Rounded throws a right and a left that both miss.
Anderson fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Anderson slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Jab, jab by Anderson - just one landing.
Anderson lands with a hook. Rounded tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Anderson circles away from the clinch attempt.
Anderson lands with a good body shot.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Anderson dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
The fighters circle momentarily. Anderson darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Very Rounded is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Rounded is breathing heavily.
A shot to the liver by Anderson. Beautiful body shot.
Rounded gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Anderson cracks Rounded with a right hand to the side of the head.


Rounded is rocked!
Rounded glances at the clock... BAM! Anderson nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Rounded crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Rounded is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:14 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Hades Anderson!
Hades Anderson decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
