The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goats misses with a takedown attempt
and Fossmo counters with a left to the body.
Goats tries to score a power double leg takedown but Fossmo sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Goats somewhat.
Goats doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Fossmo counters with a nice leg kick.
Helge Fossmo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Travis Goats.
Goats doesn't manage to clinch there - Fossmo circles away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Goats tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Fossmo was well out of range. Poor timing from Goats.
Goats tries to bum rush Fossmo with a series of wild strikes but Fossmo uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

and Fossmo connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Travis Goats seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

Goats misses with a takedown attempt - Fossmo sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Fossmo jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.

Fossmo circles away from the clinch attempt
and Fossmo cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Goats misses with a takedown attempt
letting Fossmo counter with a right hand.
Goats falls off balance throwing a combination
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

Fossmo closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Goats did well to prevent Fossmo getting side control.

Fossmo winds up and cracks Goats with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Goats has hold of Fossmo's hands but Fossmo slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Fossmo is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Fossmo is trying for a kimura here. Goats looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Fossmo wins by kimura!
