Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ron Burgundy (ranked 1129 p4p, 180 weight class) and Hector Stefan (ranked 1944 p4p, 291 weight class). Stefan has chosen Onward to Victory as his entrance music. Hector Stefan is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

16 - 9 - 2, fighting out of New York, Hector Stefan!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Gregory Folan and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stefan wants to clinch up but Burgundy keeps it at a distance.
Stefan misses with a few strikes there.
Burgundy loads up on a big right hand but Stefan slips the punch.
Burgundy clinches.
Burgundy blocking some punches.
Stefan wants to get back to striking at distance but Burgundy won't allow it.
Stefan is trying to break the clinch but Burgundy is controlling him.
Stefan's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Burgundy throws a right and a left that Stefan avoids nicely.
Stefan has taken the fight to the clinch.
Stefan breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Stefan's coach down at Area Six FC was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Stefan's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Burgundy drops Stefan with a beautiful combination! Stefan stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Burgundy is looking for the KO!
Stefan is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Stefan goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
It looks like Ron Burgundy has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A looping hook to the body misses from Burgundy. Stefan does a little dance to reset his feet.
Nice defenses there by Stefan.
Burgundy misses with a kick to the body
and Stefan counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Burgundy is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Burgundy lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Stefan is still on wobbly legs! Can Burgundy finish him?
Burgundy fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Burgundy is stalking Stefan. Stefan circles to his left. Keeps circling left. Bam! Straight right from Burgundy, and it's lights out! Stefan really payed the price for that rookie mistake.
