Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wilson Kirk (ranked 25169 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Partin (ranked 5897 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wilson Kirk!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steve Partin!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Daniel Franklin and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kirk tries to sprawl but Partin drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Partin with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Partin wants to pass to mount but Kirk is defending the position.
Partin throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Partin wants to pass the guard but Kirk is defending well.
Partin seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Partin's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Let's hope that Partin has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Partin shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Kirk napping and manages to drive through into side control!

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Partin. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Kirk wants to get back to his feet.
Partin is looking to pass Kirk's guard but actually Kirk recovers to full guard.

Steve Partin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Partin shoots in and bounces Kirk off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Kirk is trying to keep Partin in close.

Partin takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Partin jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Kirk manages to avoid the submission attempt.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Steve Partin comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Partin has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
