The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carvallo lands with a straight right. Wid didn't see that one coming.

and Wid decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Carvallo's guard.
Wid in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Wid throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Carvallo works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Wid looks up at the clock and then as Carvallo takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Wid smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Wid in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Wid works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Wid slows the pace down.
Wid wants to control but Carvallo is keeping him busy.

An elbow from Wid crashes against the mat.
Carvallo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wid. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Wid is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Carvallo's shoulder. That is not cool.

Wid has hold of Carvallo's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Carvallo tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Wid cranks the arm and Carvallo screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Carvallo, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
