Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sanka Mason (ranked 5710 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rico Armbar (ranked 24884 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Santiago Holmes and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mason moves into the clinch.
Armbar is looking for a takedown.
Armbar's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Mason goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Mason lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Armbar.
Mason struggles to land a body shot inside as Armbar controls his hands.
Armbar tries to circle away but Mason has him pinned against the cage.
Mason cracks Armbar with a nice body shot.
Mason gets through Armbar's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Mason lands a body shot in the clinch.
Armbar looks winded!
Mason lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mason digs a right hand into Armbar's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Armbar's gas tank.
A right handed body shot lands from Mason.

Mason works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Mason is working Armbar over against the cage.

Mason lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Armbar backwards.

Mason lands a body shot.
Mason lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Armbar or not.
Mason drops Armbar onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Armbar is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!
Armbar is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mason lands a body punch.
Armbar is still on wobbly legs! Can Mason finish him?
Mason throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
A left hand lands to the body for Mason.
Armbar seems to have recovered his senses.
Mason creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Armbar with a big uppercut! Armbar tries to clinch up but Mason pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Armbar to the mat! Armbar covers up and Mason unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Sanka Mason!
