Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Shoot Horn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nick Rowler!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horn takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Horn forces Rowler back against the cage and clinches.
Horn tries to throw a body punch but Rowler avoids it by throwing Horn back against the cage.

Horn breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Rowler throws a series of punches but Horn moves out of range.

Horn closes the distance and clinches.

Horn breaks from the clinch.

Horn closes the distance and clinches.
Horn slowing the pace effectively.
Rowler tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Horn.
Rowler taking a breather.
Rowler is looking to take this one to the mat.
Rowler tries for a takedown. No joy.
Shoot Horn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nick Rowler.

Horn successfully pulls guard.
Rowler wants to control from the top but Horn keeps moving.

Horn controls Rowler momentarily but Rowler frees himself.
Rowler looking to pass the guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Horn holds on and takes a little breather.
Horn lands an upkick as Rowler stands over him.

Horn throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Horn keeping moving, preventing Rowler from controlling successfully.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Rowler won't allow Horn to sweep him here.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
A clash of legs there as Rowler blocks the low kick.
Rowler wants to counter the offense by Horn and move into the clinch position.
Horn closes the distance but Rowler moves to the side
and Rowler counters with a two punch combo.

Horn has Rowler up against the cage in a clinch.

Horn breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Rowler is looking to clinch but Horn is avoiding it.
Rowler wants to clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rowler tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Horn swivels and escapes.

Horn clinches up with Rowler and pushes him back against the cage.
Rowler trying to stall but Horn improves his position.

Rowler breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Rowler tries to clinch but Horn is having none of it.

Horn drives through and clinches with Rowler against the cage.

Horn pulls guard successfully.
Horn tries to strike from the bottom.

Horn has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rowler can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Horn has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Rowler is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Horn.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Horn is letting Rowler control him for a moment.
Horn regains half guard.
Horn is refusing to be controlled, as Rowler sits in half guard.
Horn has hold of Rowler's hands but Rowler slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Horn is trying to control but can't.
Rowler wants to take a breather but Horn is having none of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Shoot Horn dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


Rowler tries to clinch up but Horn circles away and keeps his distance.
Rowler lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Horn fails in his attempt to clinch.
Horn darts in trying to clinch

and Rowler counters with a crisp one two that drops Horn! Rowler thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Horn to his feet! Horn is in big trouble!
Rowler shoots in and drives through. Horn sprawls well.

Rowler tries to sprawl but Horn drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Horn is working for a submission of some sort.
Horn wants to stand but Rowler has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rowler is looking to control Horn's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Rowler avoid being mounted?
Rowler works his way to full guard. Good work.
Rowler is trying to control the position but Horn postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Horn trying to control the position from guard on top but Rowler is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Rowler has his foot on Horn's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Horn works his way back into a safe position though.
Rowler looking for a sweep. Not yet Rowler, not yet.
Rowler not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Horn is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Rowler looking to hit a scissor sweep but Horn is one step ahead there.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Rowler is defended easily by Horn.
Horn throws a head kick but Rowler moves out of range.
Rowler throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Horn shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Rowler is trying to defend but Horn finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rowler preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.

Rowler manages to get to full guard.
Horn controls from within his opponent's guard.
Rowler wants to stand and escape but Horn is having none of it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Rowler controls Horn momentarily but Horn frees himself.
Rowler is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Horn is controlling him.
Horn trying to control the position from guard on top but Rowler is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Horn clinches.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Horn tries to pull guard but Rowler holds him up against the cage and eventually Horn drops back down to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Nick Rowler will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Horn shoots in and drives through. Rowler sprawls well.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Rowler.
Rowler shoots in but Horn avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Horn is looking to counter the offense by Rowler and move into the clinch.
Horn tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Rowler manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Horn wants to clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rowler avoids the body shot from Horn.
Rowler cracks a nice hook into Horn's ribs.
Nick Rowler seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Rowler shoots in for a takedown but Horn shows good takedown defense.
Shoot Horn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nick Rowler.

Horn closes the distance and clinches.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Horn is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Rowler gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Rowler can't get the takedown.

Horn works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Horn wants to control from the top but Rowler keeps moving.

Rowler is looking for a triangle but Horn pushes his legs off easily.
Shoot Horn overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Rowler wants to sweep here but Horn controlling him for the moment.
Horn trying to control but Rowler is working from the bottom.
Horn wants to stand but Rowler is controlling his posture from full guard.

Horn chips away with some ground and pound.
Rowler is trying to keep Horn in close.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Horn sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Rowler's guard.
Horn wants to get back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rowler pushes Horn off looking to stand but Horn dives back in and keeps control.
Horn is thwarting Rowler's attempts to control the position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Rowler uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Horn.

Horn closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Horn lands in his opponent's guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Horn trying to control the position from guard on top but Rowler is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Rowler wants to stand up but Horn is controlling him.
Horn wants to control from the top but Rowler keeps moving.
Rowler has control of Horn's left arm, preventing Horn from doing any damage.
Rowler keeping moving, preventing Horn from controlling successfully.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Horn avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

And that's the end of the fight!
Shoot Horn showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Horn has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
