Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Dawson (ranked 2099 p4p, 90 weight class) and Randall Couture (ranked 3413 p4p, 77 weight class). Dawson's entrance music is Titanic theme. A fine choice. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A decent looking cross lands there for Couture.
A nice combination there by Couture.
Couture lands a jab to the nose.
Couture throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dawson's waist but Dawson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Couture off to one side.

Couture moves into range and clinches up with Dawson.

Couture turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Couture manages to end up in side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dawson seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Couture is trying to maintain the position but Dawson is very close to passing his half guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Couture is on top in guard.

Dawson drops Couture with a big knee straight up the middle! Couture is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!
Couture doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Dawson fakes the body blow, causing Couture to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Couture goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
