Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Don Cartagena (ranked 1635 p4p, 211 weight class) and Lazuran Riku (ranked 1117 p4p, 139 weight class). Cartagena comes to the cage accompanied by The Crack Attack. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cartagena keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
It looked like Cartagena was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Riku.
Riku lets loose with a powerful body kick. Cartagena will feel that in the morning.

Cartagena throws the left hand but Riku avoids the punch easily.
We've been told by Cartagena's head coaches at Jitsu Jim that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Cartagena shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Cartagena throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Cartagena will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Riku tries to bum rush Cartagena with a series of wild strikes but Cartagena uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Riku slips a straight right by Cartagena.
Riku misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Sloppy strikes from Cartagena. Those never looked like landing.

Cartagena on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Riku. Riku obviously looking to wear him down.
Oh Cartagena is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Cartagena gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Riku gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lazuran Riku!
Lazuran Riku was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
