Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 wins, 1 losses and 0 draws, fighting out of Las Vegas, Desmond Okafor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 wins, 0 losses and 0 draws, fighting out of Sydney, Gokhan Saki!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, George Francis and Tiny Johnson.



The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saki throws a lazy head kick
and Okafor counters with an outside leg kick.
Okafor keeps Saki at a distance using the push kick.
Saki avoids a kick to the body.
Saki follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.
Okafor scores with a jab. Saki acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Saki thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Okafor if he has to take too many more of those.
Saki throws a leg kick but Okafor sees it coming and moves out of range.
A good leg kick by Okafor.
Saki fakes the leg kick and cracks Okafor in the body.
Saki fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Okafor swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Saki throws a sloppy head kick and Okafor moves out of range easily.
Saki feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Okafor's calf.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Okafor thuds his shin into the meat of Saki's side.
Saki pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Saki throws a nice outside leg kick.
Okafor pushes Saki away with a front kick.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Okafor changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Saki looks winded!
Okafor moves out of range of the body kick from Saki.
Okafor jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
Saki throws a leg kick
and Okafor counters with a nice body kick.
Saki throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Okafor counters with a nice uppercut.
Saki takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Okafor jabs at Saki's body.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Saki crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Okafor - the referee stops the clock and Saki gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Okafor. Saki manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Okafor tests Saki's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Okafor scores with a leg kick.

Okafor lands a big head kick that sends Saki tumbling to the mat! Okafor takes a step backwards and waves Saki back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Both fighters circling a little - Okafor finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Okafor cracks a nice hook into Saki's ribs.
Saki lands with a slapping head kick.
Okafor looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Saki throws a leg kick
and Okafor cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Saki tries a head kick but it misses.
Okafor delivers a nice body kick.
Saki has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Okafor.
Okafor lands a nice hook to Saki's body. Saki takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Okafor throws a shot to the body.
Okafor keeps Saki at a distance using the push kick.
Crack! A monster head kick from Okafor and Saki falls like a tree - timbeeeeeeeeeeerrrr! A highlight reel knockout by Okafor!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Desmond Okafor!
Desmond Okafor decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
