Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Julian Whitfield (ranked 4930 p4p, 0 weight class) and Greg Hopwood (ranked 5887 p4p, 401 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Whitfield wants to get back to his feet but Hopwood is dominant here and he's now got Whitfield's back!

Hopwood is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Whitfield seems a little lost for a moment, as Hopwood dominates the positioning.
Hopwood is looking to take a break and control but Whitfield is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Whitfield avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Hopwood.

Hopwood changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Whitfield looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Hopwood is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Whitfield knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Whitfield is trying to control Hopwood's posture but Hopwood avoids it.
Hopwood tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Hopwood just content to control the position.
Hopwood throwing strikes but missing, from side control.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
A lull in the action here as Hopwood stalls from top position.
Hopwood wants to lay and pray for a moment but Whitfield keeps working.
Whitfield really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Whitfield enables Hopwood to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Whitfield manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Greg Hopwood showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Whitfield will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Well Hopwood has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
