These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McDaniels misses with a looping right.
Hambucher connects with the punch.
McDaniels takes a jab right on the kisser.
McDaniels needs to keep his hands up - Hambucher had a free shot at his head there.
McDaniels uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Hambucher.
Hambucher on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
McDaniels takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Hambucher lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens McDaniels up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Hambucher from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw McDaniels's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.

Markus Hambucher was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
