Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mark Hooker (ranked 7723 p4p, 591 weight class) and Bobo Fernandez (ranked 24370 p4p, 641 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Fernandez is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Hooker can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Hooker wants to hold on but Fernandez pushes him away.
Fernandez tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Let's hope that Fernandez has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Hooker really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

My spies in XFighter inform me that Fernandez has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Fernandez has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Hooker! Can he survive? No! He's out! Fernandez gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
