I think Goncalves might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to TAPOUT. The crowd seem to be enjoying Burns's choice of entrance music: Marcelo D2 Claudia - Desabafo Deixa Eu Dizer. Dilon Goncalves is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Burns throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Goncalves tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Burns is in Goncalves's guard.

Goncalves is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Burns is aware though and is defending well.

Goncalves is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Burns got a little sloppy there for a moment and Goncalves has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Burns has managed to get both his arms back between Goncalves's legs - danger averted.
Burns trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Goncalves keeping moving, preventing Burns from controlling successfully.
Burns pushes down on Goncalves's leg and manages to get into half guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Burns passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Goncalves!

Burns wants to control the pace but Goncalves is squirming around nicely.

My spies in Jitz MMA inform me that Burns has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Goncalves tries to improve his position but Burns has taken his back! Burns has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Goncalves tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Burns pushes Goncalves away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
