Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Artur Kasza (ranked 487 p4p, 50 weight class) and Rhif Un (ranked 2180 p4p, 202 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Artur Kasza!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Rhif Un!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, David Hoff and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Un throws an overhand right that lands on Kasza's shoulder, as Kasza tries to avoid the shot.
Un stuffs the takedown.
Un wants to counter with a clinch but Kasza pushes him away.

Un moves into the clinch.
Kasza has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Un is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Kasza drops down looking for an ankle pick but Un pulls his leg out and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Artur Kasza. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Un swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Kasza defending well as Un loads up on a big left hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Un gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Un is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kasza is controlling him.

We've been hearing that Kasza has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Kasza's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Un wants to get back to his feet but Kasza is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Un has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Kasza has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Kasza throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Un's waist but Un gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kasza off to one side.

Kasza shoots in and bounces Un off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Un wants to get back to his feet but Kasza is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Un has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Kasza has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Un's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Kasza doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Un counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.


It looks like Artur Kasza has been cut.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kasza shoots in looking for a takedown but Un manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kasza's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Un! But no joy.
Kasza shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Un gets caught flat footed, as Kasza shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Un has his feet on Kasza's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Un throws a shot from downtown. Kasza moves away and avoids it.
Kasza throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Un's waist but Un gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kasza off to one side.

Un shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kasza but Kasza pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Kasza looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Un lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Kasza throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Un's waist but Un gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kasza off to one side.
Un swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Un throws a looping overhand right but Kasza ducks down to avoid it.
Kasza shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Un defends it nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Kasza attempts a counter takedown but Un avoids it well and moves away.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Kasza dives in and grabs Un's left leg, looking for a takedown. Un pushes down on Kasza's head and hops out.

Horrible takedown attempt by Kasza or perhaps it was just good defense by Un, which made it look bad.
Un changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Kasza fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Un now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Un misses with an uppercut.
Kasza shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Un defends it nicely.
It seemed like Un was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Kasza shoots in but no luck this time.
Un misses the shot to the body.
Kasza attempts a counter takedown but Un avoids it well and moves away.
Un misses the shot to the body.
Kasza moves out of range of the body kick from Un.
Kasza fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Kasza shoots in for a double leg but Un sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Un is looking for the big counter here.
Kasza dives in for a single leg takedown but Un sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Un is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Kasza with a body shot.
Kasza uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Un.
Un has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Kasza fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Un avoids it really well and circles away.
Un looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kasza is fending him off so far but Un persists. Nope, Kasza circles away and we're back to standing.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Kasza shoots in looking for a takedown. Un tries to sprawl out of it but Kasza keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Un manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Kasza slips under a jab from Un.
Kasza closes the distance and clinches up with Un, looking for a takedown. Kasza pushes Un against the cage but Un circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Kasza uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Un.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
A telegraphed right hand from Un misses the target.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rhif Un showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Kasza shoots in for a takedown but Un shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Un appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Both fighters circle each other, looking for something big. Un moves in and throws an overhand right. That hurt Kasza! Un continues to tee off on Kasza, landing with a left and a right! Un connects with a right hand that leaves Kasza sleeping against the cage! What a finish by Un!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:14 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Rhif Un!
Rhif Un is the new heavyweight champion!
An out of breath Rhif Un thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
