Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Tycoon (ranked 17879 p4p, 565 weight class) and Haider Ali (ranked 4865 p4p, 405 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ali moves away from the strike by Tycoon.
Ali has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Tycoon is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Ali throws an overhand right that lands on Tycoon's shoulder, as Tycoon tries to avoid the shot.
Ali ducks under a wild hook from Tycoon.
Ali is looking to slow Tycoon down with leg kicks.

Tycoon jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
Ali takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Tycoon shoots in for a takedown but Ali shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Tycoon checks a leg kick.
Tycoon appears to be looking for a big counter.
Tycoon connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Tycoon misses with a wild combination.
Ali swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Haider Ali is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Tycoon misses with an uppercut. Ali saw that one coming.

Tycoon keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Tycoon throwing a counter right hand but Ali manages to avoid it.
Tycoon uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Ali.
Tycoon shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ali pinned against the cage. Ali gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mike Tycoon. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ali misses with a wild combination.
Ali throws out a powerful jab.

Tycoon stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Ali.

Ali jabs Tycoon right on the nose. Tycoon blinks but takes it well.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ali moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

Tycoon is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Ali's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.
Tycoon buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Tycoon chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Ali can pounce on him.
Tycoon shoots in for a takedown but Ali shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Ali takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Some bone on bone action there as Ali checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Tycoon walks into a stiff left hand from Ali.
That kick from Tycoon tenderised Ali's leg. Ali is trying to keep his angry face on.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Tycoon.
Ali keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Tycoon.
Ali is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Ali throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Tycoon is breathing heavily.
Ali drops Tycoon with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Tycoon looks back up at him and smiles so Ali waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Tycoon is rocked!
Ali ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Tycoon's jaw. Tycoon's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Ali does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Haider Ali!
A very excited looking Haider Ali rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
