Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Banana Man (ranked 4326 p4p, 433 weight class) and Narek Keshishian (ranked 4612 p4p, 452 weight class). Narek Keshishian is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Banana Man!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Narek Keshishian!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, James Glass and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Keshishian shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Man's guard.
Man wants to get back to his feet but Keshishian passes into half guard.

Man wants to get back to full guard.
Keshishian wants to control but Man is keeping him busy.
Man tries to get to full guard but Keshishian has control of the leg.
Man trying to control but Keshishian postures up.
Man keeps control of the position for the meantime.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Man moves into full guard.
Keshishian trying to control the position from guard on top but Man is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Keshishian being controlled here momentarily.
Keshishian controls from within his opponent's guard.

Man working for a triangle but Keshishian defends it easily.
Keshishian is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Man looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Keshishian has picked Man up and slammed him! Man can't keep hold of the triangle and Keshishian manages to pass to side control!
You can see the frustration on Man's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Man holds on to Keshishian's head and controls the position momentarily.
Man on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Man tries to get out of the position.
Man is looking for a sweep.
Man takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Man tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Keshishian presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Man wants to control but Keshishian is having none of it.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Keshishian trying to control but Man is having none of it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Man is trying to escape the mount.
Keshishian trying to control but Man is having none of it.
Man can't escape the position.
Keshishian tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Man tries to lock up and control but Keshishian gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Man is wriggling around trying to escape.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Keshishian landing strikes, looking to finish!
Man wants to hold on but Keshishian pushes him away.
Keshishian trying to control but Man is having none of it.
Keshishian putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Keshishian tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Man can't escape the position.
Keshishian working Man over with strikes here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Narek Keshishian dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Keshishian fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Man misses with a takedown
and Keshishian counters with a two punch combo.

Keshishian darts in and clinches Man up against the cage.

Keshishian is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Man can't fight it off and eventually Keshishian manages to take the fight to the floor. Man looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Keshishian has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Man is looking to control Keshishian's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Man avoid being mounted?
Man is looking for a sweep. Keshishian is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Man manages to get to full guard.
Man pulls Keshishian in close to prevent any damage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Keshishian wants to control from the top but Man keeps moving.
Keshishian preventing the sweep.
Keshishian won't allow Man to get back to his feet.
Man is trying to control the position but Keshishian postures up.
Keshishian distracts Man with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Keshishian tries to free his leg and advance position but Man is retaining full guard.

Man working for a triangle but Keshishian defends it easily.
Man is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Man enables Keshishian to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Man manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Man wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Keshishian manages to pass to side control.

Man has hold of Keshishian's hands but Keshishian slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Keshishian is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Keshishian decides to return to a standing position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Keshishian gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Man to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Man stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Keshishian swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Keshishian wants to stand and escape but Man is having none of it.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Keshishian is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Man dives into side control.

Man wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Keshishian, who protects the arm well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Narek Keshishian showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!



Keshishian instigates a clinch.

Man manages to break the clinch.
Man gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Keshishian counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Keshishian closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Man is looking for a sweep.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Keshishian decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Keshishian has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Keshishian.
Man leaves Keshishian with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Keshishian drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Man escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Keshishian gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Man controls Keshishian momentarily but Keshishian frees himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Man is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Keshishian defends well.
Keshishian seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Man has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Keshishian can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Man is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Keshishian trying to control but Man is working from the bottom.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Man takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Keshishian fails with a takedown attempt.
Banana Man has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Narek Keshishian.
Man leaves Keshishian with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Man fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Keshishian lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Man wants to clinch but Keshishian slips to the side

and Keshishian counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Man working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Keshishian.
Keshishian stands and throws Man's legs to the side, diving into side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Man is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Keshishian off and has taken his back!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Man controlling the position well here. Keshishian rolled but Man kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

Man working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Keshishian can't escape the position.

And that's the end of the fight!
Narek Keshishian comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Keshishian has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
