Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ilya Yaj (ranked 1354 p4p, 173 weight class) and Scott Smith (ranked 1645 p4p, 208 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Yaj counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Yaj defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Smith.
Smith tries for a takedown but Yaj circles away easily
and Yaj cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Ilya Yaj has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Scott Smith.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Smith.

Yaj stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Yaj wants it to stay on the feet.
Yaj wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Yaj throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Yaj definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Smith jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Yaj walks away with a smile on his face. Smith gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Smith takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

and Yaj counters with a crisp right hand that drops Smith! Yaj lets Smith back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Smith is still on wobbly legs! Can Yaj finish him?

Smith walks into a straight right, dropping him to the canvas! Yaj swarms him and finishes the fight with a hail of punches! What a brutal finish!
