Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kyu Slytherin (ranked 5627 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cans Worst Nightmare (ranked 7073 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slytherin changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Worst Nightmare tries to avoid it but Slytherin manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Worst Nightmare to the ground. Worst Nightmare escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Slytherin tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Worst Nightmare defends well and Slytherin ends up having to push Worst Nightmare into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Worst Nightmare is looking for the big counter here.
Slytherin shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Worst Nightmare as he avoids it easily.
A countering left hand to the body from Worst Nightmare misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kyu Slytherin. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Slytherin shoots for a takedown but Worst Nightmare saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Worst Nightmare swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.

Worst Nightmare drives through and clinches with Slytherin against the cage.

Worst Nightmare is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Slytherin can't fight it off and eventually Worst Nightmare manages to take the fight to the floor. Slytherin looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Worst Nightmare postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Worst Nightmare stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Slytherin swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Worst Nightmare throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Slytherin works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Slytherin is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Worst Nightmare is in close to Slytherin's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Worst Nightmare is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Worst Nightmare keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Slytherin's head.

Worst Nightmare connects with a couple of short punches.
Oh Slytherin is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Worst Nightmare postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Worst Nightmare gets to his feet and stands over Slytherin, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Slytherin felt that one! Worst Nightmare unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Slytherin from any more punishment!
