Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Liam Jansen (ranked 5715 p4p, 557 weight class) and Kid Papa (ranked 5854 p4p, 559 weight class). Liam Jansen has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Papa throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Jansen shoots in and gets a takedown into Papa's guard.

Papa is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Jansen seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Papa has an active guard here but Jansen has managed to pass into half guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Liam Jansen will probably get the nod.

Papa tries to keep at a distance but Jansen has taken the fight into the clinch.
Jansen is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Papa is defending well for now.
Papa creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Jansen has hold of one of Papa's legs. Papa is fighting the takedown attempt but Jansen gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Papa lands a head kick. Jansen smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Liam Jansen.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jansen, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
