Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Because I Can (ranked 5240 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jayden Jacobs (ranked 2912 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 26 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Because I Can!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jayden Jacobs!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paulsen Ambrosius and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jacobs jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Jacobs is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
I Can misses with a series of wild punches.
Jacobs lands with a nice body punch.
A big right from Jacobs misses.
Jacobs slips a jab and a cross from I Can.
Jacobs moves forwards but I Can connects with a nice, crisp jab.
I Can uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jacobs.
Jayden Jacobs seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

I Can bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
I Can taking a break here but Jacobs is having none of it and regains half guard.

Jacobs tries to roll over but I Can keeps him under control.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jacobs can do anything to dispel that myth.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

I Can looking for a submission but Jacobs manages to get full guard, putting an end to that submission attempt.
Jacobs is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

I Can is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Jacobs is just riding it out for now. I Can eventually gives up the hold.

I Can shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Jacobs wants to improve his position but I Can is controlling well.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

I Can throws a right and a left that Jacobs avoids nicely.
I Can looks for a takedown but Jacobs sprawls well.
I Can will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Jacobs unleashes a big counter combination but I Can bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Jacobs throws a right and a left that I Can avoids nicely.
Jacobs throws a hook to the side of I Can's head but I Can sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
I Can was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
I Can avoids the body shot from Jacobs.
Jacobs's hands are dropping dangerously low here and I Can connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Jacobs scrambles back to his feet.
I Can moves away from the strike by Jacobs.
I Can just misses with a punch to the body.
Jacobs lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
I Can lands the left hand.

I Can darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
I Can prevents Jacobs from standing back up.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

I Can throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Jacobs escapes and throws I Can's legs to the side, diving into side control!
I Can wants to control but Jacobs postures up.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

and I Can connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
I Can is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Jacobs can do to turn this around?

I Can looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

I Can is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Jacobs sees it coming and defends easily.

Jacobs avoiding damage under a succession of punches from I Can.
I Can is looking to pass Jacobs's guard but actually Jacobs recovers to full guard.
I Can trying to control but Jacobs is working from the bottom.
I Can stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jacobs swivels though and keeps the full guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

I Can pushes down on Jacobs's leg and manages to get into half guard.

I Can is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Jacobs doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time I Can.

Because I Can is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
I Can wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jacobs keeps working.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Because I Can showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I Can has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
