The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fernandez moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

It looks like Sam Oneal has been cut.
Oneal fails with an attempt to clinch.
A jab from Oneal misses.
Fernandez lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Oneal at a distance.
Sam Oneal seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fernandez throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Oneal throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Oneal throws a right hand that Fernandez ducks under and follows up with a left that Fernandez also avoids with ease.
Fernandez punishes Oneal's body with a nice straight punch.
Fernandez digs a good body shot into Oneal's ribs.
Fernandez throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Oneal just misses with a punch to the body.
Fernandez is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Oooooh!!! Fernandez has knocked Oneal down with a huge combo! Fernandez steps away and waves a wobbly Oneal back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Fernandez stuns Oneal with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Oneal could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Oneal is breathing heavily.
Fernandez throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Oneal stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Oneal is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Fernandez just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! Now a right hook, right on the button! Oneal has gone limp and this one is over!
