Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kyle Dunc (ranked 25303 p4p, 705 weight class) and Mathias Rekve (ranked 5181 p4p, 503 weight class). Kyle Dunc could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Mathias Rekve's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kyle Dunc!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mathias Rekve!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Sam Margolis and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dunc shoots and misses
and Rekve holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Rekve is pressed up against the cage. Dunc has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Rekve down to the mat. Rekve avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Rekve throws a head kick that misses.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Rekve.
Dunc definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Rekve has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Horrible takedown attempt by Dunc or perhaps it was just good defense by Rekve, which made it look bad.
Rekve throws a counter combo.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kyle Dunc. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rekve looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Dunc working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rekve doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rekve manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rekve decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Dunc, up you get!
Rekve decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Rekve is trying to control the action in half guard but Dunc is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Dunc looking for a kimura from the bottom but Rekve passes into side control!

The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Rekve is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Dunc knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Rekve trying to control the action but Dunc is working from the bottom.
Rekve really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dunc. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Dunc gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Dunc is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Rekve pulls his head out easily.
Rekve wants to take a breather but Dunc is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Dunc is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Rekve jumps into side control!
Rekve thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rekve looks winded!
Dunc is looking to reverse the position.
Dunc regains half guard.
Dunc looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Dunc has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Rekve. Oh but Dunc has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Rekve goes limp - he's gone! Dunc jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
